The Minister of Social Welfare Baindu Dasama Kamara and Director of Social Welfare Francis Kabia have on Saturday 26th September 2020 held stakeholders meeting with the National Commission for Persons with Disability (NCPD) and heads of Disabled Person Organizations (DPO) at the Commission’s Regional offices in Bo and Kenema.
The National Commission for Persons with Disability (NCPD) has on Thursday 27th January 2020 conducted a one-day orientation for 8 (eight) National Youth Service Corps at the Commission’s New England Ville office in Freetown.
In continued Celebration of the international Day for Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), the National Commission for Persons with Disability Commission NCPD in collaboration with Handicap International (HI) organized Wheelchair Marathon competition for the physically challenged persons on Sunday 8th December 2019 in Freetown.
As part of its key deliverable for the 2019 Financial Year, the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) on Friday 6th December,2019 supported Sierra Leone Association for the Deaf, Sierra Leone Action for the Disadvantaged, Foundation for Advocacy and Literacy Development, Christian Union for the Blind and KATE foundation with cheques to the tune of 38,000,000 (thirty eight million Leones).
