on 20th August, 2025, a delegation from the NCPD met with the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation

A delegation from the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities met with the Directorate of Science, Technology, and Innovation on August 20, 2025, to review draft concept notes for training 1,000 persons with disabilities in digital and entrepreneurial skills. Chairman Brima Abdulia Sheriff welcomed the initiative but cautioned against excluding any disability groups, stressing that true governance requires full inclusion. DSTI Director Jasper Sembie assured that the pilot phase follows the national radical inclusion policy and that no category of PWDs will be left out, noting that assistive technologies for visually and hearing‑impaired participants are being explored. Both institutions agreed on the need for an MOU to strengthen cooperation and guide implementation.
